I have a brick and mortar shop and am interested in ordering wholesale. Can I see a line sheet?

What is the style and fit difference between the Unisex shirt style and the Women’s Relaxed shirt style?

The Unisex style has straight sides that are more loose and not fitted while having a longer length. The Women’s Relaxed style has a slightly relaxed fit for comfort while still having a fitted shape, and it has a shorter length. Here’s a comparison photo of a small Unisex style and a small Women’s Relaxed style for comparison. (For reference, both are from the Bella+Canvas line of shirts if you’re familiar with that.)

Color and Design Appearance:

Color is subject to a lot of variables. A real-life product held in your hand can often look different than it looked on a screen. Colors shown on your computer, tablet, or mobile screen can even differ from each due to their individual calibration (to see what I mean, notice how different the color and clarity is between screens the next time you’re standing in front of a wall of TVs at a store selling electronics). Going back further in the process, printing is subject to color matching that can differ slightly when working from swatch books translated to designed product to final production. Even color dyes for paper and fabric can vary slightly between production cycles. All that to say, extensive efforts are made to make colors be what you expect, but understand that it’s partly an art more than always an exact science when there are so many variables. For that reason, expect that color variations might occur.

Also note that design placement on certain apparel formats is subject to variation based on the size of the product itself.

Printing Methods for Fabric:

For fabric products I’m using 2 different types of production methods that are similar but different from each other. For my RETAIL orders, I’m utilizing print-on-demand for production. Because I can’t at this time store all of my inventory, print-on-demand will help me manage production and shipping for items I can’t stock as inventory.

NOTE: For WHOLESALE orders, I’m working with a Minnesota company that uses traditional screen printing for things like fabric and bags. I would love for my retail orders to eventually also be using screen printing as opposed to print-on-demand production, but I’m not there yet.

Where Are Products Made?

For my print-on-demand products, details about the production of the base product itself are listed in the item listing. Where they’re actually printed, however, includes various fulfillment centers in the U.S. and also abroad. It depends where the system routes them in part related to where inventory is located.

For items I inventory and fulfill and/or wholesale items, those are U.S.-based and Minnesota-based where possible. All designs are designed in Minnesota.

Can I Order a Design on a Different Type of Shirt or Product?

Possibly, yes. It depends. If there’s enough of an interest for a new format or color, I might add it to inventory. Other things are only available as wholesale orders that require ordering multiple of said thing. Contact for details.

Some Designs Seem More Size-Inclusive than Others. Why is That?

Availability of certain colors seems to shift based on current inventory. I can’t always control that. If you have a question about other colors or about availability, contact me, and I’ll see what I can figure out.

Shipping Costs

Note that different products between Fleurdelia brands might have multiple original shipping sources, which can increase shipping costs.

Shipping Timelines

Because most products are made as they’re ordered, shipping timelines also include production time which means shipping might take a few days longer. Plan to order in advance to allow enough time for desired delivery. (If worth noting, I ordered some of my own print-on-demand products, and the shipping timeline went a few days longer than the first suggested timeline.)

What Does Your Creative Process Look Like?

Sometimes I write about my design process on my blog if you’re interested.

May I Get a Tattoo of One of Your Designs?

I appreciate your liking one of my designs enough to want to live with it maybe forever. Am I completely flattered albeit a little weirded out by the idea of something I made being emblazoned on someone’s skin for all time? Maybe yes. Because all my designs are my copyrighted intellectual property, you do actually need consent from me. (I’ll concede that it would really difficult to always monitor this sort of thing, but be aware, there is precedent of a corporation legally pursuing a tattoo artist as well as the tattoo recipient for unlawful use.) If you are still interested, contact me about purchasing a license for use.
